The Rice Festival : A short wordless story as outlined below.

Synopsis: A lone figure leaves the noisy fall festival and wanders the rural backroads of Japan in silence. The rice harvest was plentiful despite having less fields each year due to the growing city. Now at her almost forgotten temple, the beautiful Goddess Inari casts off her disguise, along with her faithful fox companion, as they go to prepare for next year.

My talented friend Corey Egbert (https://coreyegbert.com/) recently did a “Do this in your style” (DTIYS) challenge on Instagram. I wanted to take the character on a test drive (who the character is and what their story might be about) so I made this short story. I origanlly envisioned this one as a short animrted movie, with the main character going in and out of panoramic scenes, but settled with two animatic sequences. I hope you enjoy and at least imagine how the end product would have been.
